Payload agnostic platform
The original idea to develop the Evolution Eagle was to carry a C-UAS Kinetic interception payload to intecept sUAS. During our development journey and after talking to military contacts we understood there is a bigger need for real time intelligence and situational awareness. (ISTAR/ISR)
ISTAR stands for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance. In its macroscopic sense, ISTAR is a practice that links several battlefield functions together to assist a combat force in employing its sensors and managing the information they gather. (ISR (Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance)
The Evolution Eagle is therefore developed as a payload agnostic platform. Based on end user needs, payloads can be tailored to end user specific needs. Different missions could require different sensor payload options.
Important part in selecting the best payload is the payload weight. The payload weight has to be distributed between both wings for the optimal centre of gravity (CoG) envelop fit. Power consumption and data transmission speed are also important factors to take into account.
Daytime camera payload
Thermal camera payload
Thermal camera’s as a payload provide the capability to fly at nighttime. Thermal camera’s also provide a added view to find missing persons or vehicles hidden in forrest area’s. Thermal camera payloads can also be used for search and rescue missions (SAR). Together with our partners we can select and tailor thermal camera payloads. In select cases these thermal cameras can also provide GPS hotspot detection.
Multispectral imaging camera payload
Micasense is a multispectral imaging camera payload with automated software for mapping areas of interest.
C-UAS Kinetic interception payload
The C-UAS kinetic interception payload is the original payload the Evolution Eagle is develloped for. This specific payload will come to market within a couple of months. We are in the testing stages for this payload option and additional camera-package to target hostile sUAS.
3D mapping payload
Some of our end users requested LIDAR/3D mapping payloads. There are a number of 3D mapping cameras and 3D mapping software to stitch all the pictures together to create a high resolution 3D map of a aera of operation. The Evolution Eagle is able to fly predetermined waypoints for the 3D mapping.
Way of working - Tailor your payload
Based on our experience and previous feedback from end users we have a select number of suitable payloads we can add to our Evolution Eagle payload platform. We are working with several drone-payload development partners that can tailor different payloads to your request.
