– A Low Tech Solution for a High Tech Problem –
We are using birds of prey to intercept hostile drones
Guard From Above is the first company in the world to use birds of prey to intercept hostile drones
Animal welfare is very important to us. We have over 30 years experience in working with birds of prey and we have specialists on our team with knowledge on drone technology.
In nature, birds of prey often overpower large and dangerous prey. Their talons have scales, which protect them, naturally, from their victims’ bites. The Dutch National Police has asked the Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) to research the possible impact on the birds’ claws. The results are not yet known. Of course, we are continuously investigating any extra possible protective measures we can take in order to protect our birds.
We have been working closely with the Dutch National Police on the development of our services.
We are training many different kinds of birds of prey.
Guard From Above is located at The Hague Security Delta (HSD) Campus in The Hague.
We use a number of indoor training facilities, as well as outdoor locations that have been designated for our use.
Our birds are trained by a team of specialists with a passion for these powerful animals. We have been working with birds of prey for more than 27 years.
Guard From Above provides Bird training and Birdhandler Training for Law Enforcement and Military clients around the world.
The animal instinct of a bird of prey is unique. They are made to be able to overpower fast-moving prey. Sometimes the solution to a hypermodern problem is more obvious than you might think.
We use the birds’ natural hunting instincts in order to intercept drones. We do this safely, quickly, and accurately.
We are the world’s first company specialized in training birds of prey to intercept drones. Please check our Services page
Guard From Above is at the moment present in The Netherlands. We are looking into expanding our services and are working together with specialist companies worldwide.
Due to the overwhelming attention from the international press it is not possible to attend a trainingsession. We are gathering all press requests and will make a selection if and when we will arrange a new press day.
